No, that fist is not in support of the Nation of Islam.
It’s actually the universal gesture meaning “Jewish Solidarity” but
in the last 50 years various fringe liberation groups have started using it
as well.

Chilliwack British Columbia knows how to "get down" (as they
say in the youth culture). Photo by Kim Miller |

They actually let me preach when I was up in Williams' Lake
British Columbia. I spoke about the woman caught in adultery and the
forgiveness that only God can give. |

 Dominika Dobosz-Michael,
my wife of
Polish extraction, has been a tremendous asset to my ministry.
She helped me design the promo card (seen on the home page) the “I
AM” PowerPoint (seen on the poetry page) and has patiently posed for over 700
pictures in the past two years. |

This is me and my beautiful, intelligent and Christian wife Dominika.
She describes herself as “awesome” and goes by the alias “Plush
Sputnik: Queen of the South Seas.” Apart
from having a quirky sense of humor, she also enjoys going with me to Faith
Community Foursquare – our home church.

 Sporting a
retro-90’s “alternative” look (notice the multi-shirt and baggy jean
combo) I competed in an event which I was in no way qualified for: the Asian
Pacific Student Alliance talent show at San Diego State University.
I tied for first place despite my racial handicap, but then, in a twist
of fate that can only be described as “crappy,” two no-talent rappers got
the $250 grand prize instead of me. As
with all disappointments in life, I blame this on latent anti-Semitism. Photo by Mark Malter.

 While
I must first and foremost give credit and thanks to God the Father, my
Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit who blesses me with creativity and
passion, no list of appreciation and acknowledgements would be complete
without also mentioning my wonderful and talented hair stylist: Wendy from
the Clairemont Supercuts in central San Diego.

Reusing familiar material is lazy and hackneyed if the
subject matter is poor. However, revisiting themes of love, beauty,
and Dominika, can only be described as "classic". |
